The American Healthcare Education Coalition (AHEC) is a national non-profit, public-interest organization founded in 2010 to help educate the American public about issues affecting our nation’s healthcare system.
AHEC provides timely analysis of the provisions and regulations of developments in America’s healthcare system including those brought about by the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. As this new healthcare law begins to take root, AHEC is committed to educating people about the changes the law will bring, and how its provisions will affect families, small businesses, and the nation as a whole.
We seek to advance a healthcare system that places patients and doctors at the center of health decisions. We seek to advance a free-market healthcare system and to incentivize medical innovation as the most effective way to achieve both the best quality of care and the best value for consumers.
Our staff includes policy experts who have worked on Capitol Hill. Our staff includes experts in the areas of tax law, health policy, and economic freedom.

- Resources for Members of Congress and their staffs, including talking points, recommendations for hearings and Congressional oversight, and policy memos
